37. Praying for Michael in the park and talking about Jesus

About a year ago, I walked with Michael (a special needs man), and his mom. I asked Michael and his mother if I could pray for them. She seemed pleased that I asked. Next, I asked if I could put my hand on Michael’s shoulder. His mother said, Michael would rather have you hold his hand. They let me pray with them, so I built the commandments and Gospel into the prayer. At the end, his mother crossed herself and graciously thanked me.

A few days ago, Judy and I ran into them again. Judy volunteers as a horse, side walker with young people. Agape is a nonprofit organization that does this for kids and adults with disabilities. She loves horses and people, so our second talk with Michael and his mother was all about horseback riding and Judy was a blessing!

This past week, I met Michael and his father. It was the first time I had met his father. Just trying to be a blessing.

Hebrews 13:16 NIV “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
