-Our Mission-

The Mission of Life Change Ministries, Inc. is focused on the life, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, i.e., the Gospel.
Our goal is to reach people for Christ by teaching individuals, small groups, churches, and organizations on how to more effectively share the Gospel.
Jesus tells us the harvest in plentiful (lots of seed ready to be harvested) so preparing the workers is essential. We are driven by the Word of God, and by The Spirit of the Lord.
Finally, our love for Christ is the driving force in all we do.

Your Vision

Every believer, eventually (if they are pursuing Christ with the whole heart), finds a place where they feel they can be most effective in service to Christ and His Kingdom. I especially love the verses below. For those who are searching for a place of service, don’t just read them, but, let them be your prayer!

Points of Entry

Romans 12:9-21 NIV

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

  • Phil loves helping individuals learn about evangelism one-on-one. The is one of the most successful training sessions he does. Those he spends time with seem to find new confidence to share the plan of salvation. The session (2-3 hours), is a wonderful experience for him as well.

  • This is what I enjoy the most. I love random highway stops and great conversations with people that the Holy Spirit places in my pathway. I never knew how much fun this would be! I’ve experienced so many wonderful episodes, and so far, those who aren’t interested in talking have been gracious to me. Our Lord is so wonderful! What accusation could one possibly bring against Him? The Holy Spirit sets up the time and places, so the interactions are very wonderful for me to participate in.

If ever the fruit was ripe on the vine, it is now. People know we are in trouble both as a nation and as a people. Young people truly understand that their opportunities are extremely limited, and their hope for the future is grim. As a result, young people are very open to the love of Christ. I tell people I’ve never led someone to Christ, the Holy Spirit does that. Still, I’ve had many opportunities to stand on Holy Ground! God is not random and the Holy Spirit confirms the perfect place at the perfect time to share.

  • Rarely, do I have an opportunity to speak from the pulpit and that is perfectly understandable. Occasionally, pastors are at conferences, or on vacation, and they find a new perspective on evangelism helpful sharing in their absence.

When I speak, I talk about how to begin with “baby steps,” and then encourage people to focus on the “Law” as Christ did in His teaching. Examples of Jesus using the Law include, “The Rich Young Ruler,” “The Woman at the Well,” “The Adulterous Woman,” and so on. Galatians 3:24 says, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

I love to speak with young people (they have yet to be spoiled, and discouraged by fellow Christians who feel sharing Christ is a waste of time). On the other end of the age spectrum, I find many seniors who know the Lord, but often would rather golf, or travel, in an attempt to lessen the boredom in their lives.

If I can encourage one person in twelve to become enthusiastic about sharing Christ, I consider that a win for the Kingdom. Motivating people about evangelism is another example of the Parable of the Sower. Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

I enjoy what I’m doing more than anything I’ve done in my entire life! Frankly, I am very uncomfortable watching people, especially family and friends, be lost. Read Acts 8:26-40 about the Ethiopian Eunuch. See if you can figure out why I find this Philip so motivating.

  • Come up with your own vison! “Let’s just go for it!” I love to teach and then take it to the streets, but I never push people to the point of ruining the experience. Many people simply want to stand back and observe and that is a good way to learn. People don’t often continue sharing if they get discouraged early on. We start by teaching people to ask, “Did you get one of these tracts?”

It is best to go out to share in teams of two or more. Two is the perfect number, as shown by Jesus. More than three can intimidate people—last thing we want to do. Since I live near a very troubled city, the opportunities in Indianapolis are endless. The key is for people to find their path as they are led by the Holy Spirit. For example, many of my dearest friends, love passing out tons of tracts to crowds of people at special city events. I know the Word of the Lord does not come back void. Still, my heart is to the individuals the Spirit places in my path. I also truly enjoy encouraging pastors to step up and do more. I realize pastors are hesitant to give up their pulpits, but I’m happy to help supplement what they are doing. Let me help fill that void.

I must admit that I’m troubled about all the believers who say, “It’s not my gift,” or “I can’t do what you do.” Is anything impossible for God? No! So why did Jesus talk about the Great Commission, if there were not a way for each person to contribute? I’ve seen the gift of evangelism and I’m sure I don’t have it, but I’ve still found a rhythm in sharing and the Lord stimulated this late in my life.

  • I’m glad to do Zoom calls. I admit they are less effective, and since communication is largely verbal (65% of communication is nonverbal) the follow-up is challenging, On the other hand, Zoom calls represent a low-risk point of entry for participants. Additionally, it can open many doors beyond my normal geographical reach.
