21. That crazy “oil change” place is a Gospel sharing Goldmine.
The 10 Commandments: Can Confirm or Not Confirm.
Check out time, and I share with Noah. Noah is a believer. I love it when I have a small audience and zero interruptions. There is often time to share. Christians always trip me up. I’m pouring my heart out and most of the time they look up and say, “I get it.” Noah could cash me out, talk about Jesus, scan for coupons, and do it all at the same time.
My lovely wife, my daughter, and my daughter-in-law can each do 10 things at the same time. It always mesmerizes me since men can typically only do one thing at a time. Meanwhile back at the oil change place. 1) I shared. 2) Noah confirmed.
And thank you Lord, because as I had to wait for my car, I sat down by Matthew and had enough time to truly talk the gospel through in a meaningful way. I love it when a working-class guy who works at a plastics plant, thinks I’m a working-class guy.
I grew up in a working-class family and I learned how wonderful it was doing real “hands on” work. I was the least handy of the boys, i.e., my father (diesel mechanic), my older brother (carpenter, surveyor), and my younger brother (commercial electrician).
Humorously, I was the only one who did not know what I would do with my life, so my parents said, “Fine, you need to go to college! My wife has often shared that I am a “blue collar academic.”
Well, in summary, my sharing time with Matthew went very well. Matthew is very close to the Kingdom and I’m so very happy we met.
Isaiah 52:7 NKJV “How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
